Freight and Cargo Agent positions are unionized, which requires Employees to bid for work schedules and vacation time with shift trade opportunities available with Fellow Employees. The bid process is determined by a combination of factors, including the department, contract, and/or Company seniority. Information regarding how and when to bid and shift trade opportunities is provided during training.
Shifts could include early mornings, late nights, weekends, holidays, and mandatory overtime.
During the 180-day probationary period, Employees receive formal evaluations. Additionally, local Station Leadership will continuously evaluate the Employee’s competency, attitude, and attendance during this time.
