New application process, same smooth flying!
Keep your flight hours updated
During your first application, you'll create your Flight Hours grid, where you'll list your flight experience by aircraft. This Flight Hours grid will be accessible for any future applications and can be updated with your latest flight experience anytime, anywhere.
Returning applicants from Fall 2025 posting: Visit swa.is/FlightHours to update your Flight Hours grid: Profile Information > Pilot Flight Hours
All applicants are required to apply for an open Pilot - First Officer position for interview consideration. Updating your Flight Hours grid keeps your profile up to date; however, it does not replace a formal application. You must apply to our latest posting to be considered an applicant by our Pilot Recruitment Team.
Provide your required documents
We'll ask for additional information and files to be submitted for the Southwest Pilot Hiring Team to review. We recommend preparing three letters of recommendation in advance, as we may request them immediately following your application.
