Cargo Agent smiling holding cargo,

Our Freight and Cargo Agents are the Heart of Southwest®.

Our Freight and Cargo Agents extend Hospitality to Southwest Cargo Customers. These roles are responsible for accepting, screening, and receiving cargo shipments; coordinating with Ground Operations Teams to meet flight departure and arrival timelines; and working with a Team to prioritize shipping responsibilities and modify priorities as needed.

This small but mighty Team also has opportunities to play a part in transporting life-saving medical shipments, live seafood, fresh flowers, and more. Freight  and Cargo Agents are problem solvers who enjoy multitasking and working with Customers.
